DtM 2013 Update!
Design that Matters (DtM) works with the best social enterprises to design new products and services for the poor in developing countries. Over the past decade, with the help of over 850 students and professional volunteers, DtM has launched three products in education and global health that have improved the quality of life for 160,000 beneficiaries in Africa and Asia.
• In 2013, DtM is commercializing Firefly phototherapy for newborn jaundice with global medical device manufacturers, to transform newborn health care systems in South Asia and beyond.
• DtM is also working with our network of domain experts, NGOs, manufacturers, designers, and practitioners in the developing world to identify three new outstanding design opportunities in global health and other sectors.
